Will The Deol Magic Work Again?

In the last few years, the idea of making sequels to successful first installations has been adopted by Bollywood. And more often than not the sequels which include movies like Golmaal 2 and 3, Housefull 2,

Phir Hera Pheri, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, etc have been really successful at the box office.

Because of this reason perhaps, the Deol family decided to go ahead with Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 following the positive response from Yamla Pagla Deewana which released in 2011.



In an official statement at a promotional event when asked why YPD 2 was made Bobby Deol said,
"I have always done few films as I don't believe in doing films which I don't find interesting. I would never enjoy working in them and would be most unhappy about the end result. I wanted to do YPD 2 because like dad and Sunny bhaiya I loved the script, enjoyed doing it and now I am very excited about the way it has shaped up.
So far, they have taken all the right steps by having a star studded music launch in which almost every Bollywood celebrity had taken part, to even Dharmendra turning a rapper for one of the songs.

The film which releases on 7th June all over India also has starlets Neha Sharma and Kristina Akheeva in pivotal roles. Neha who made her debut with the movie Crook and was last seen alongside Vivek Oberoi in Jayantabhai Ki Love Story also seemed pretty excited about her upcoming release.
"Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 is a project which I feel will give me a good standing in Bollywood. It is the biggest film of my career till now. It is with three actors Dharamji, Sunny and Bobby - who are superstars," Neha told in an interview.
Looks like we will have another hit this coming week. Watch out for Yamla Pagla Deewana 2!
