Every movie of Shah Rukh Khan is awaited by one and all with bated breath. Such is his star power that is last flop movie Paheli was way back in 2005 i.e. 8 years ago. In the last 8 years, all his movies have made money and are bonafide hits. Shah Rukh Khan is fondly known as king of romance as he is master of this genre. But off late he is trying to change his image and is consciously doing the movies that are not utterly romantic. Chak De India, My Name is Khan, Don 2 and Ra.One are not typical SRK's movies. Simultaneously, he is aware of his hardcore fans and is keeping them happy by doing what he does best with movies like Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Om Shanti Om and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Although there are so many speculations and rumors about his forthcoming movies, only 2 movies are confirmed for SRK in 2013-2014 which are as mentioned below:
1.) Chennai Express: Chennai Express will have SRK doing a full fledged comedy role probably for the first time. This typical Rohit Shetty film is about the journey of SRK from Mumbai to Chennai via Train called Chennai Express. First poster of the movie has been much appreciated and the movie is scheduled to release on either 8th August or 15th August this year. SRK is coming with Deepika Padukone for the second time after blockbuster Om Shanti Om.
2.) Happy New Year: Farah Khan and SRK started with a bang as SRK launched Farah as a director under his banner, Red Chillies Entertainment. Their first 2 movies together 'Main Hoon Na' and 'Om Shanti Om' proved mega hits at the box office. Unfortunately, after 'Om Shanti Om' , Farah and SRK had issues working together and Farah went ahead to direct 'Tees Maar Khan' with Akshay Kumar. Movie flopped big time at the box office. Now, Farah is back with SRK for her next directorial venture titled as 'Happy New Year'. Movie will have Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Boman Irani along with Shah Rukh Khan and it is scheduled to release early 2014.
So we have only 2 confirmed movies for SRK in the next 2 years. None of his movies will be released on SRK's favorite release date Diwali. Diwali 2013 and 2014 is booked by two Hrithik Roshan starrers - Krrish 3 and Shudhdhi. Apart from these, SRK will also be seen in a short film directed by R.Balki for celebrating 100 years of Indian Cinema. Here is wishing SRK all the best for all of his upcoming ventures.
