Salman Khan's 'Kick' Shooting Starts Today : View Pics

The much-awaited film by Salman Khan, 'Kick' finally gives a kick start today in Glasgow. The film was supposed to go on floors on 27th July, 2013 and as promised, director Sajid Nadiadwala has forayed for it.

The unit will be spending 15 days in Scotland's largest city to shoot scenes for this action film 'Kick', which is set for a release in 2014.

The film is a high-budget remake starring superstar Salman Khan and will be shot in the streets around George Square.

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala who turns director with 'Kick', said to sources that the film is very much on schedule and actor Salman Khan will start shooting for it from July 27. Hot Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez is paired opposite Salman Khan. Randeep Hooda also plays a major role in the movie. 'Kick' is officially written by Chetan Bhagat.

"We were always supposed to start on July 27, and we're starting on 27th,"

said Sajid from London.

Talking about the shooting location choice, a source said,

"Sajid wanted the locations to be completely unexposed. He intends to film some unique action sequences in Glasgow. Lately Salman has avoided doing heavy-duty stunts because of his neurological condition. But this time Salman would be performing all the stunts himself. Sajid has taken all precautions to ensure Salman's safety."

Kick is the latest in a line of blockbusters to have been filmed in Glasgow after many Hollywood projects being shot here. It is an official remake of 2009 superhit Telugu film of the same name starring Ravi Teja and Ileana D'Cruz.
