The upcoming film by Prakash Jha' 'Satyagraha' will also be having an item song wherein a newbie will shake a leg and entertain audiences in a thumri-electronic fusion number called 'Aiyo ji hamri atariya mein'.
Prakash Jha, who is known for making subjective and strong movies believes that these songs are a great contribution to the story and pace of the movie.
“Such numbers contribute to certain moments and sensibilities. They (dance numbers) help the story too,”Jha said in a statement.
The item girl in 'Satyagraha' is Natasa who has been part of many commercials earlier. On getting a break in 'Gangaajal', she said,
“In October 2012, I went (came) to Mumbai, where I started to do shows, TV commercials and billboards. My favourite job was my advertisement for Johnson’s Baby collection…Now, I hope that the (Satyagraha) song will be a hit, and my game will come to the fore,”The filmmaker had earlier also given item songs a great heed earlier too. In 'Gangaajal' and 'Raajneeti', item girls Manyata Dutt and Barkha Bisht respectively burned the dance floor and were an added flovor to the movie.
Prakash aso feels that these hot numbers are a great attraction for the young audiences who groove to such tracks.
“They do entertain; and entertainment happens to be the most important part of film-making. At the same time, when used cleverly, they can also be meaningful,”Talking about the song he adds,
"It is set in a nightclub and dramatically establishes Ajay's rise as a telecommunication czar, with his wheelings and dealings. Natasa is from Croatia but is attuned to Indian dances. She fit the bill and is electric in her performance."'Satyagraha' featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Ajay Devgn and Arjun Rampalin the lead roles, is scheduled to release on August 23.
