Confirmed upcoming movies of Ranbir Kapoor in 2013-2014

Ranbir Kapoor is the talk of the town after the unexpected blockbuster success of his latest movie 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewaani'. Ranbir has been very selective about his films as he has featured in only 3 movies in the last 3 years. He gave breathtaking performances in 'Rockstar' (2011) and Barfi1'(2012). Apparently, he won back to back Filmfare Best Actor Award for these two movies. After the earth-shattering box-office performance of YJHD, he is all set to step up the gear further with some interesting forthcoming projects mentioned below:




1.) Besharam: 'Besharam' is the second directorial venture of Abhinav Kashyap after the all time blockbuster 'Dabangg'. Pallavi Sharda, an Australian born Indian actor, will play the role of typical 'Pataka Girl' from delhi opposite Ranbir Kapoor. 'Besharam' will also star Ranbir's parents Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor in significant roles. This is going to be the first time that all three are coming together in a same film. 'Besharam' will hit the screens globally on October 2nd 2013, a Gandhi Jayanti holiday weekend release.
                                         
2.) Bombay Velvet: Anurag Kashyap's 'Bombay Velvet' is going to be set in Mumbai of 1950-1970 and it will be the first film of a trilogy on how the city became a metropolis. Ranbir Kapoor will play the role of a street fighter in the movie while Anushka Sharma will be seen as a Jazz singer. Anurag Kashyap is known for his hard hitting dramas like 'Black Friday', 'Dev D', 'Gulaal', 'Udaan' and the recent 'Gangs of Waseypur' series. Movie will release on Christmas 2014.

3.) Roy: Ranbir Kapoor has surprised his childhood friend Vicky Singh by agreeing to work on his directorial debut 'Roy'. In this movie Ranbir will play the role of a thief and Jacqueline Fernandez will star opposite him. Film will also have Arjun Rampal in a prominent role and it will be produced by T-Series.

4.) Jagga Jasoos: After impressing the audience with his performance as a mute boy in Anurag Basu’s film Barfi!, the actor is all set to play a detective in the director’s next project called Jagga Jasoos.  Besides, the actor has one more movie with Basu - a biopic on late legendary singer-composer Kishore Kumar. But it has been postponed for sometime.
