Confirmed upcoming movies of Akshay Kumar in 2013-2014

Akshay has become the first Indian actor to cross 2000 crores at the box office. He is the only actor in top 5 who is able to maintain his superstardom by having 3-4 releases every year. He excelled commercially bigtime in Rowdy Rathore and Housefull2 whereas his meaningful movies 'OMG' and 'Special 26' have also been appreciated. His performance in 'Special 26' was appreciated by one and all. Akshay is having some potential blockbusters lined up in 2013 and 2014. He is confirmed to have at least 3 releases in both the years.Here is the confirmed list of his upcoming releases:

1.) Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Again (2013): This one is a biggie. In the sequel to Once Upon A Time in Mumbai, Akshay will be seen portraying the character of 'Dawood Ibrahim'. The film is directed by Milan Luthria and produced under the banner of Balaji Films. Movie is going to release on Eid, 2013 when industry will witness the mega clash of Chennai Express and OUATIMA.


2.) Boss (2013): Boss is a remake of Malayalam superhit Pokkiri Raja and is directed by Anthony D'Souza under the production of Ashwin Varde Productions Private Limited. The film is an Action Packed flick and its expected release date is 18th October, 2013.


3.) Pistol (2014): In the remake of 2012 Tamil blockbuster 'Thuppakki',  Akshay Kumar will be playing the lead role in the movie alongside Sonakshi Sinha and it is titled as 'Pistol'. This will be the fourth film together for Akshay and Sonakshi after Rowdy Rathore, Joker and Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Again. The movie 'Pistol' will be directed by original director A.R.Murugadoss who also directed the Tamil and Hindi versions of Ghajini.

4.) Sajid Farhad's untitled movie (2014): Akshay will doing a movie produced by Tips and directed by dialogue writers Sajid-Farhad. The movie will release in 2014. Title of the movie is not finalized. Akshay tweeted about the movie 2 days back as:
" Just heard about some news floating around that my next Tips film with Sajid Farhad is called Oh My Dog! That's news to me as well and figment of someone's twisted imagination! Disgusted. Not true guys."

 5.) Gutka (2014): Akshay Kumar has signed his first movie under Karan Johar's Dharma productions which is to be directed by Punit Malhotra. Akshay's film with KJo has been tentatively titled as 'Gutka' and it is a two-hero project. Second lead will be played by none other than Emraan Hashmi.This will be the first time that Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi are coming together in a movie and it will surely make an interesting pair. Movie will release in 2014.
